| Procera Crowns |
| |
What
is a crown?
A crown or "cap" is an artificial tooth that replaces missing or damaged
tooth material.
Dr. Silverman will prepare your tooth, make a mold, and have a crown
custom crafted especially for your mouth. |
| |
| What are the popular types of crowns? |
| |
| |

The adjacent Procera® crown allows light to shine through similar
to natural teeth. |

|
| |
| How will it look? |
| |
 |

crowns

Procera crowns on
the six front teeth. |
|
| |
| A quality porcelain-over metal crown gives a satisfying
appearance, although the lack of natural translucency is usually evident.
The translucency of Procera® crowns is very similar to natural tooth
enamel, allowing them to blend naturally into the mouth with your
existing smile. |
| |
| What about the durability … and my dental health? |
| |
| With proper daily dental hygiene, a porcelain-over-metal
or Procera® crown can last for many years with proper dental care.
One of the advantages of Procera® crowns is their proven resistance
to plaque formation, which is known to cause gum disease. |
| |
| What about the cost? |
| |
A Procera® crown may cost a little more than a porcelain-over-metal
crown but you may find the natural look and feel well worth it. Dr.
Silverman can help advise you on what fits your needs best.
